The purpose of the TechReuse program is to collect donated computers and related IT equipment from government offices, corporations and individuals.  The collected equipment is then  refurbished and/or recycled by our staff and our volunteers in order to allow these items to experience a second life.

• TechReuse sources IT hardware from corporations, government offices, non-profit organizations and individuals. Over 100 organisations have donated computers since 2005.
• We provide charity tax receipts to our donors.
• TechReuse provides a convenient collection service.
• TechReuse provides data wipe out services, testing, asset reporting, upgrading of hardware for re-use, a storage warehouse and safe disposal of non reusable equipment through our partners.
• TechReuse redistributes refurbished computer systems to under-priviledged communities through our non-profit partners.  Over 2000 computers have been distributed since 2005.

Upon request, our donors will be provided with our hard drive data wipe out service by means of powerful and irreversible data destruction methods.  We use U.S. DoD 5220.22-M  methods in accordance with National data destruction standards:
